I live in a very mountainous area in PA which contains many, many deer. About two years ago I finally hit one and it destroyed my car and honestly kind of flipped my life upside down for a little bit, not to mention the life of the deer that was taken. So my only line of defense has been to use my horn sporadically while driving to work at 4:30am, which I'm sure makes my neighbors love me.I saw these deer whistles and figured they were cheap enough to give them a try. I did do a bit of research to find out if there was any actual evidence that the deer whistles work and apparently insurance companies did do some studies that said they do seem to help. Honestly while it's really impossible to tell if they work because you can't hear it, I can tell you that since I've had them on my car, what went from seeing deer almost every single morning in the middle of the road, went to either never seeing them or only seeing them running away, already off the road. The only thing that can account for this are the deer whistles. I do still use my horn from time to time because you can never be too safe, but I think I can confidently state that the whistles have a lot to do with the total reduction in deer encounters. Oh and they also seem to work for other animals as well.

One side had to be drilled because the plastic opening wasn’t open, otherwise good to go. Haven’t tested on the road just yet but I imagine once it’s opened properly it’ll make noise.
