**Q: Are they real specimen?**
A: It is real. It just the plastic material instead of glass so it will not hurt the child.

**Q: can these be used with any type of microscope?**
A: A real microscope yes it can be used with.

**Q: Are these clear or cloudy looking?**
A: Clear but I found them only good for teaching students how to use microscopes.  But, the price was good.  I felt I got my moneys worth.

**Q: Does it work with lcd digital microscopes ???**
A: Yes it works the same

Voluntary review of a product that I purchased and paid for. Set comprises 48 samples of four sample groups: plants, flowers, insects and animals. Everything on a safe to use clear plastic slides. Ideal for kids use without extra supervision of an adult. In general quality is decent. I have found 4 slides which are poorly made (contains residual trace of material, not substantial enough for observation). Bigger issue is resin/bonding agent used for slides. Due to the sample being compromised by resin some of the slides are difficult to observe under the microscope. Plastic used for sliders is not scratch resistant so handle with care. All in all this biological sample specimen set is a good entry level science kit for kids. I’m convinced that is a good science introduction to something bigger or broadening the scope of child interests and hobbies, Purchased on request of my 8yr old son. Now during the lockdown is one of his favoured activities. Surprizes me every time when microscope and books taking over streaming service or gaming console time.
