Quality materials
The media could not be loaded. Great kilt. I wear them daily, like other men wear pants. Its a nice fit. Only thing i found i didnt like is the pockets. They are to narrow.

Ornamental pockets
Although this fits my body great and looks good, the pockets are there for show. I cannot even firt my wallet and phone in them (hence the purse). The pockets need to be a half inch wider to be a utility kilt.

Perfect length
Nice light fabric for summer, washes well. Product runs just a bit small. My husband truly enjoys it!

Actual 3.5 stars, comfortable enough, but not everyday wear quality
Preface: I have been wearing kilts for a decade now, and this was purchased as a replacement for one of my daily wear kilts, as they have worn out. I am not unaccustomed to wearing kilts, so I know how they are supposed to wear, and how they are supposed to function.Having said all that, let us start with the pros, then follow by the cons, because I like starting positive.Pros: the look and feel of the fabric is pretty good, one of the better feeling poly blends. The snaps are quick to fasten, and the velcro works as a good backup. There are pockets to put *some (see later) stuff not in your sporran.Cons: The fabric does not feel particularly hard wearing. As in, I am more concerned about tears in this to the point that I would be worried about heavy dancing tearing it. The snaps are underpowered for the purpose of doing their job, holding fast. This is to the point that I believe once the velcro dies, you MUST wear a belt with this or risk a public indecency charge after bending over. The pockets are tiny. If you have a standard, old school wallet, forget about putting it in one of them, and a good number of phones are not going to fit. So, have a Ridge Wallet type wallet, and a flip phone of some kind if you want to carry them in your pockets, and a small set of keys, or have your keys on a carabiner attached to your belt by preference. The little straps on the side that are supposed to help hold down the front apron, they are essentially there for looks, unless you buy the kilt way over sized for your body. They barely reach on mine. Also, the fabric length standard for full, traditional kilts is 9 yards of material. For utility kilts, generally they have about 5 yards. If I had to guess, this has between 2 and 3 yards of material. It is _barely_ pleated, and I am a good bit more annoyed at this than the majority of first customers would be, because I know how necessary those pleats are for functionality, and not flashing people. In conclusion, this seems like a first attempt at a kilt from a company, or perhaps a first attempt at a budget kilt. If you are just using it for low impact stuff like Renaissance Fairs or hanging out drinking, or around the house, light walks, it works. If you are someone who is used to heavy dancing, work outs, and work of varying types (forestry, landscaping, mechanic work, etc.) this is not the kilt for you. At the end of the day, I am keeping it, and using it for light use, and not terribly annoyed at the price. I wanted to give it 3.5 stars but amazon wasn't letting me give an extra half a star, and I could not, in good faith, give it 4 stars.

Read the reviews!
First, it fits XL 39 in waist 5’11”.second ,the pockets are one step from useless (noted in several reviews. It gets five stars because it is perfect for the price point. NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A “REAL “ KILT. I pictured a utility kilt which feels more substantial and my real kilt is a monster compared to the pictured tartan above. It is great because you get what you pay for, if you are looking for authentic keep moving. If you want a starter kilt you get your feet wet. But the pockets are useless
