Review: What's not to love? - I've never written a love song to a trashcan, but I am doing so now. It's a trashcan, but it looks good, it works great, the size is perfect,* and it's priced right. Here are the deets: I've had it for a few months now and it's like it's always been here, not because it looks like it's old, but because it's very neutral in its design and fits right in. I love the open top design. That means the top will stay open if I set it up that way, and it will close after use if I set it up that way. And remember, it's a trashcan, so setting it up is pretty easy. *Here's what I meant about the size getting a star. When the top is set to stay open, the top is vertical, leaving the opening fully accessible. But, it turns from a medium height can to a tallish one, and it still fits under the overhang in the kitchen island. When I need it close, I simply drag it over, and when I'm done, I move it back to its resting place under the island overhang. And the price is right. And, it's easy to find liner bags for it cause it's a standard size. It's just about perfect. No faults, from my perspective.
Review: Exactly as expected - This garbage can helps control odors SO MUCH. I'm using it specifically for my rabbit area, and I throw all their used litter into here. Rabbit litter smells like a literal zoo, if you didn't know, and a few minutes after closing the lid on this thing (and the lingered scent dissipates from the air) you can no longer smell it. The size of the can works well with standard 13 gallon kitchen garbage bags. I've attached a video showing how easy it is to put in a new bag (and it's even easier removing it, of course). It does come with some bags, but the drawstrings have a tendency to rip right off just FYI. The lid will stay open if you pull it back far enough, which is really nice for when I'm cleaning out the litter and don't have to keep reopening it. The soft close works perfectly and the lid never makes noise when closing. The pedal works great and it's also easy to open the lid by hand when necessary. The only thing I don't love is that there's a recessed space where the soft close mechanism is (photo attached, it's circled in blue) and this has a tendency to hold small pieces of refuse that can be hard to remove. But that's really the only "problem" I have with this, and it's a pretty small issue, so I'm still really happy with it and would recommend it!

## Features

- [Soft Closure] The trash can features a slow, silent, and soft-close lid. No more dealing with loud clangs after use—enjoy a quieter and smoother disposal experience
- [Stainless Steel] The 10.5 gallon garbage can made of stainless steel resists rust and fingerprints. A simple wipe can keep it clean and smudge-free
- [Stay-Open Lid] For larger clean-ups, the lid can be manually opened to a catch point and will stay open, allowing for easy trash disposal. To close, simply push it down by hand
- [Bag Retainer Ring] This kitchen trash can has a bag retainer ring instead of a clumsy, space-wasting bucket, making it effortless to secure the bag in place and out of sight while offering 20% extra interior space for trash
- [15 Garbage Bags Included] To get you started, we've included 15 custom-fit SONGMICS trash bags (code 050A), designed to perfectly fit this step trash can
