The 'easy fix' plastic clips were useless for my double glazed windows with an air vent- the vent sticks out further then the clips allow for so I used the metal clips supplied & drilled into the window frame then clipped the blind rail to them instead (watch fingers!) . Works great! Took about 20mins to drill both blinds into place & the result blocks a surprising amount of light when closed. Don't know why people say these are hard to put up (the one I got from Argos were much worse!)
