Let your pipe cool before proceeding. Disassembling your pipe while hot can damage the stem. To remove the filter, turn the stem in a clockwise manner while gently pulling it apart. Repeat the clockwise motion when reassembling. Will this fit my pipe? These filters are made for 6mm drilled openings with an internal length of 38mm. How many times can I use a filter?
