If your application is 14 gage wire and you like the push in holes for wires then these are fine, however, if you are using the screws or 12 gage wire you will be cursing alot. The push ins only allow 14 and rhe screws lack a clamp plate (the square washer) so you have to bend the wire around the screw which limits you to the number of connections. Trying to wire this as a split connection with 12 gage and a traveler to another recptical is a pita. For the good, they can be wired split, and the plastic is durable. I will use them, and buy them again, just have some high end ones on hand for the more difficult jobs.

These were a nice inexpensive upgrade to an old condo. Was easy to swap out, however, if you have a half hot, it gets very tricky.

I love decorator wall receptacles, compared to the regular ones, not just for the looks, but also for the wall plates that go over them. The regular outlets have wallplate that are held by one screw in the center and most of the time, these wall plates break from the center. These are functionally flawed system. So we replaced all the outlets with these ones and they, not only look nice, but also save me from keep buying all those wall plates. Totally convinced with this upgrade.

My return window is closed which sucks because I finally got my husband to put these up (we’ve tried all the ways in multiple locations) and the wall plates that are supposed to stay in place without screws for safety purposes will not stay on. It doesn’t matter what we do or what screws we try replacing.
