**Q: When disasembling, do the clamps detach from the board?**
A: Yes, the clamps are attached to the board using some bolts that need to be tightened using an Allen key.

**Q: Why can't this be used with glass if you put some padding between the glass and clamps?**
A: Although not advisable for obvious reasons, I have improvised by using a reasonably padded tape on the clamp (side touching the glass) and then used a flat cork on the table where the clamp was applied. Use the product for intended use only.

**Q: Is it height adjustable?**
A: This is not height adjustable. However, it is ergonomically useful as there's less strain on your elbow and wrist. Works well for me!

**Q: Hi, what is the tray made of please?  Is it wood, metal, and (this one is likely for the manufacturer) if wood, what grade exactly??**
A: It is metal

I recently purchased one of those electric desks and overlooked the lack of keyboard tray. Ok, so you can use the actual desk top for placing your keyboard and mouse. This is ok but I my invoicing and reports and needed a solution where I could free up the desk top. Found this and had to drop a review , excellent price, very good quality, easy to put together and works a treat once clamped to the desk. The tray is loose until you clamp it to the desk, it then becomes just slightly tight to move in and out, just right I would say. One of the best purchases I've made recently and at that price, no complaints whatsoever.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very easy to overtighten the clamps; lightly pinch them

Before buying you should be aware that the tray comes in two halves so you will have a join line down the middle and the patterning won't match. Some people might not like this. The brackets bend easily with the leverage provided by the screw clamps. If you try to tighten firmly, it will never get firm and the brackets could bend. If you overtighten, the tray will tilt backwards, it takes very little pressure to overtighten. As you turn the screws, watch the tray and stop as soon as it begins to tilt backwards. If you tighten one side more than the other, the tray won't work smoothly. You may also need to tap the brackets so that they move slightly farther apart or closer. After this fine adjustment, the tray works very smoothly. The light pinching of the clamps does not cause a problem, the tray works well and the clamps don't move because of the size of the clamp discs below and the padding under the top of the clamp. Personally I don't mind the tray being in two parts that don't match so I am very happy with my purchase. There is ample room for my keyboard and mouse mat.
