I do not have kids yet, but I have 10 nieces and nephews. I bought some of these for my small nieces that want to use my phone, tablet, etc. I love my nieces and nephews, but I don't really like them using my personal devices. First, all I have is a mobile phone. I do not have landline. It is important to me that my phone has some sort of charge. Second, a mobile phone is a breeding ground for germs. I don't want to give them mine and vice versa. Have you ever gotten a cold from a baby or toddler? I have and it was the worst I ever got. Anyway, if are anything like me; get this for you kid, niece, nephew, or friend's kid. The parent will thank you. With items like this the kiddos will ask for devices less... at least that is the feedback I have gotten. Plus, when you are visiting it gives the kids something constructive to do that actually entertains them. She looses interest after a while...I think its because she plays preschool games on my phone and can definitely see the difference from mommys phone and her little tablet.
