After having some skin discomfort, I put an Ace style compression bandage underneath and it feels much better. You also have to carefully manage the straps and velcro to avoid chafing. And positioning the "Puck" that compresses the opposite side of your knee is critical. It's a little bulky but wearable under dress pants or loose jeans. Easy to wear with shorts and the black straps and plastic look better than white imo. I can't see this being too small for anyone, the straps are very long, but I could see it being too big for someone who is very small in stature. So a great product that does what it's supposed to do and hopefully one that will hold up until it's no longer needed. Review: Great device at a good price. As good as a customer brace...but less expensive - I have a $2000 custom brace on my right leg but realized I may need one on my left leg and didn't want to spend 2 grand! A little more expensive than some of the other ones, but this one is VERY CLOSE to the same style as the $2000 custom brace. I got it yesterday and just put it on. Wow! Very impressed. I'm particularly impressed with the setting on the side that pushes the brace closer to the knee. Even my custom brace does not do that. Note that some braces are for recovery after surgery. Try this before you spend tons of money on a custom one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ JUST WHAT I NEEDED *by J***R on 5 August 2022* I'm a 73 year old, 6 foot-2, 220 lb guy with a 25 in thigh and a years-long history of OA, knee injuries and meniscular degeneratioin - bone-on-bone ... unicompartmental, medial. I just got this unit and tested it out right away. I was delighted at the normalizing effect and nearly complete absence of pain. Last year, I had given up my pole-walking in favour of a fantastic rollator (check out Veloped, if you are interested - an amazing device) With this brace, I could walk comfortably with or without the poles, and certainly without a rollator. I will be really eager to see how it does the next time I get an OA flare-up. If things get bad, I can see it helping with the rollator use.
