I'm assuming the purple and white bottle I was sent is the same as the picture above. Did someone buy out the previous company and is it the same product?

I have been taking this for years.
A doctor recommended that I take glucosamine so this was rated as being very good. I've been using it for probably 5 years or more. It's really hard to tell if it works or not. My problems are something that pills are not going to fix.
