The diameter of my bars is too small for these but it was very simple to add a little rubber between the bar and clamp to make it work. I love having some top mount levers in addition to the main levers on a drop bar. They are great for commuting and giving me a variety of hand positions. I can ride in heavy traffic in the upright position. I only wish that the lever hinge was secured with an adjustable bolt, these have a rivet which loosens over a few years. A small problem though as these will give you 5 years of daily abuse. I installed myself with no problem. I highly recommend these when changing your bar tape and cables.
