The DMTs seemed to scratch up on first sharpening. Not the case here. (The Faithful plates are decent for the price, and worth looking at to get started.) The Aroma quickly removed metal when establishing a primary bevel on a chisel. Used with a sharpening guide and lapping fluid. Swarf easy to remove with a paper towel, to dab up the fluid, then an eraser to clean the plate. Will still be using DMT plates but wish I'd bought all Atomas instead. Are the two bases of the plane completely flat?
