Worked a miracle!
For me, this worked a miracle!! After 30 years of tension headaches, I finally have a reduction of 75%+ of pain and frequency!I took three a day for one month and then two a day after that. It’s been five years and if I do you have a headache, it’s not two days of immobilization, crying and vomiting. If I catch a headache early on, just one Excedrin Migraine will work, sometimes I need two, but still a very far cry from the pain I experienced in the past. Also very important to know your triggers. Most people have multiple ones. Mine are lack of sleep, change of weather, aspartame, not eating properly, sitting in the back of a car or reading in the car, dehydration and of course stress!!Good Luck!PS if you don’t take it with food, it repeats on itself with an unpleasant taste.

Fairly effective
I have been suffering with migraines since I was a teenager. I am in my 60's now. I have tried pretty much everything. Most migraine medications and medical strategies I have tried have helped me somewhat, then later, after 4-6 months, I see that they greatly fall-off in their effectiveness to the point where I usually just discontinue them.Petadolex works about 60%. That is the headaches are less intense. Mine are weekly from 8-48 hours. Petadolex does not change their frequency for me, but it does somewhat diminish the intensity which is welcome. Been using it now for about 6 months and have yet to see if, like everything else, it will diminish in its effectiveness over time.

This Petadolex is advertised as a PACK OF TWO. I only received ONE bottle, for over $50.
THIS PRODUCT IS ADVERTISED AS A "PACK OF TWO." BUT I only received ONE BOTTLE.I EITHER WANT TO RETURN THIS UNOPENED BOTTLE OR GET MY 2nd BOTTLE.I'M VERY DISAPPONTED. THIS DOESN'T USUALLY HAPPEN WITH AMAZON.

Really Does Prevent Migraines
I have complex migraines (facial weakness/numbness along with the headache and other neuro symptoms). As a result, I can't take the standard medications prescribed for migraines (e.g., Imitrix and other triptans), and I have a low tolerance for the other meds used for migraines (anti-seizure drugs, etc.). After years of misery, my neurologist suggested Petadolex. It took a while to work--a couple of months--but I've been virtually migraine-free for nearly a year now. I've had only a couple of mild episodes while taking it (both were controlled by aspirin w/caffeine), but I had to go off it for a couple of weeks prior to a minor surgical procedure, and the migraines returned with a vengeance. Once I started taking it again, the migraines went away. Not everything works well for every person, but this has worked for me. I recommend that people wanting to take it speak to their doctors though, just to make sure it's right for them and won't interact with other medications they may be taking. Also, not all butterbur is created equal and can be harmful if not prepared properly. This product is good.

Gave me my life back!
The Petadolex took about 2-3 months to fully kick in, but after just a couple weeks, my migraine-associated vertigo virtually disappeared, and that alone was amazing, since I'd been dealing with it almost constantly for the last year, and it was especially troublesome whenever I drove. My migraines started to diminish in the second and third month of taking Petadolex, and last month was my first migraine-free month in almost a year and a half! I was having them up to 8-10 days a month, so the difference is astonishing. For me, I've found that taking the doses at the same time every day helps, and I also take the pills fairly close together (breakfast and lunch) most days. If I wait until dinner for the second pill, I sometimes start to get some warning signs that a migraine is imminent, but if I take that second pill, it'll pass after a while.Along with the Petadolex, I also take two tablets of Migrelief (one pill with breakfast, one with lunch). I started taking Migrelief three months before the Petadolex and it was having some effect, but it wasn't until I added the Petadolex that things dramatically improved.I am so relieved to have found something that works! My doctor gave me a prescription for Sumatriptan, and after reading the list of side effects (and realizing that you can't take more than 9 in one month or it may give you a heart attack -- and you could get one sooner than that or at least feel like you're getting one because it constricts all your blood vessels), I wanted nothing to do with it. I haven't noticed any side effects from Petadolex (or Migrelief).I should note that I take zero over the counter or prescription painkillers, as those can make migraines worse (and they're hard on your stomach too). I do take some homeopathic anti-inflammatories instead (such as Traumeel tablets) if I have aches or pains that need that kind of help. You may not need to go to that point, but I mention it because I've read that you may need to wean yourself off other pain medications to help stop the migraines, so that might be something to try if you're not having success.

Tastes godawful!
I bought this on my doctor's suggestion. The butterbur that I had been taking wasn't working so he suggested this.I've been taking them for about a week and I've had the most godawful tasting burps ever since I started taking this. The other problem is that I have to take it 3 times a day, which means I have to deal with the nasty burps 3 times a day.I've ordered the other brand that I used to take and I will stop taking these. Unfortunately I bought these in the summer and the return window has closed. I'd return them if I could as they were very expensive.
