You extend/contract it to the length you want and then rotate the handle to ‘lock’ in that length. Rotate the other way to fully collapse for compact storage. **Q: Where can I get just the replacement wheels?** A: No clue, but if manufacturers are listening — making a big deal that you sell repair/replacement parts for your stuff is a GREAT selling point and will make me pay a small premium to buy your goods as opposed to someone else who wants me to trash something because of a small issue! **Q: What is the roller made what is the roller made of?** A: The round handle is made from two pieces of steel tubing with some sort of black rubber/plastic grip. The hand grip that holds the rollers appears to be a cast aluminum part. The rollers are a rubber or "soft" plastic. I can see them deflect a little bit if I squeeze them with my fingers. I assume all the fasteners are steel. **Q: How do you extended it?** A: You loosen the 'friction joint' in the handle, extend it to the length you want then tighten the joint again.
