My town and country minivan started making a high pitch whine on acceleration. Searching a few places, I found out that the transmission filter is likely plugged. This was a very easy fix. Probably took me around 2 hours from beginning to end. The hardest part is getting the oil level right. You’ll need a transmission oil funnel and the oil level gauge. I saw some people recommend using black rtv. I bought it but didn’t bother using it when I read the directions to wait 24 hours before filling. The rubber gasket in this kit worked fine. One other thing to watch for. If you replace the round gasket adapter on the funnel (included in this kit), take care that it get started evenly. I used a 1” pvc pipe with a soft blow hammer, which fit perfectly. But it got started a little cock eyed and bent the circle gasket. I had to buy another filter locally just for the round gasket.
