This machete/cleaver has a really nice heft. It is a single piece of steel, and the blade is nearly 1/4" thick at the widest point. It is heavy. It is not a knife, but the blade is very sharp, and the weight makes it ideal for chopping as well as cutting. The handle is made of wood and a little rough, but still nice. The sheath is leather and decent, although because of the weight, I wish it had a tie-loop at the end to make carrying it easier.
