I was experimenting to see if it would work for place names on little wooden objects for a friends wedding. The size I was cutting to was very small (5cm x 1cm) and was very difficult to control and too faffy for my liking. I can imagine it would work much better for bigger areas. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars A bit disappointing... *by M***C on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 July 2021* I'm a bit disappointed with this product. As it is called a rub-off, I assumed it works by transferring the ink, but that's not the case. The ink is embedded in a layer of glue, so technically, it shouldn't be called a "rub-off" - unless I'm doing something wrong. I'm pretty sure I was able to transfer just the ink with a previous version of this product that I bought years ago (it had a white backing sheet). This one doesn't work the same way. I can still use it - if I put a layer of matte medium on top of the glossy surface, it tones it down but it's not as good as having a genuine rub-off transfer, which looks as if the image was stamped directly on the surface, rather than stuck on it like a sticker. Does anyone know of a product that works like that?
