Last year, the lowest price we could find for this was $162 at some other website, how about that. I work for a non-profit org that lends lab equipment to science teachers, and we bought two of these for use with our ancient vacuum pumps from university donors. We really needed these in polycarbonate because we have already tried the cheaper, heavier, glass bell jars: the glass ones crack very easily in transit (and we do a lot of transit), and even with a tiny crack you can't use the glass safely at all. ### ⭐ Can't Make a Seal *by L***E on December 25, 2012* The bell size provides a good volume, but the radius of the base is about 1/2 an inch too small.
