In both cases, the stoves looked great, and the paste is simple to apply....reminded me of shoe polish. It's much easier (and no fumes) than the high heat paints I used previously. The chimenea lasted a few months before the rust spots started to show through, but I was impressed it lasted that long. Be aware that this has a very dull matte black finish, no shine at all. As far as scratch coverage, I guess it covered them, but my cast iron pieces had a rough finish so I didn't really notice. I am happy with the results, and the price was right. Hope this helped, daun **Q: what's the difference between the paste & liquid imperial stove polish?** A: The paste will fill in the little pits on the top of the stove created by water and rust. It gives it a "like new" appearance. **Q: Can this product be used on the black stove pipe?** A: Hi Randall, yes it can. I have blackened my stove's pipes with this product. I applied it with a rag, and then buffed it out some. **Q: Can this be used on cast iron door knobs and handles to keep them looking new? Or would the paste rub off on your hands after application?** A: It would rub off on your hands. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job well. *by C***L on 12 March 2026* Does the job ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by P***S on 18 May 2018* did the job! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product *by J***N on 19 November 2024* This works very well, easy to rub into the cast-iron stove, and buffs up really well, covers alot of minor scratches etc, but does give off a waxy smell for a few days after when the stove us very hot.. ## Frequently Bought Together - Imperial KK0059 Stove Polish Paste, Black, 6oz.
