**Q: is the back of the heel padded to protect achilles & bone spur**
A: Yes but it doesn't go up too high, only about as high as the back of a sneaker.

**Q: Can I insert a heel lift in these?**
A: I would not recommend it as it defeats the purpose.  If anything put the heel lift in the shoe first.  The cushion cuff should then be put on your foot

**Q: Is this heel cups comfortable to wear?**
A: The cups themselves are comfortable - good for at home use but too bulky to wear inside a shoe. I found the straps to be cut at the wrong angle, as if I was securing up the middle of my leg instead of across the front of my foot. I am petite and that may not be the case if your foot or ankle were broader than mine.
