I only needed 20 of these to secure some irrigation system soaker hoses further into the ground where a few had popped up so I took a chance and ordered 2 packages. I will say they worked VERY well for my use. The material is steel and very strong. I was able to use a hammer to sink these into the ground without any dents or compression to the wire. The spacing is perfect to fit the hoses inside, not too snug or large. The notch seems to help hold these into the ground, especially in areas where the hose is near the surface because of some nearby tree roots and areas where the hoses were placed in a tight arc around a bush or plant.
