Review: Why were tapered ironing boards ever even invented?! - Brilliant shape. Makes ironing shirt and bedding a breeze. Sturdy ironing board. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the lack of felt padding. Easily solved though. Bought some in Duneln and voila - perfect ironing board (although a tad larger would have made it even more perfect). Will never go back to a tapered end board. Already bought spare ironing covers for this shape to make this ironing board last for ever :)

Brilliant shape. Makes ironing shirt and bedding a breeze. Sturdy ironing board. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the lack of felt padding. Easily solved though. I love this ironing board. I never did see the point of the pointy bit at the other end of a regular ironing board. This ironing board is great for ironing sheets as it is straight at both ends and has no plate for the iron. This means that you can use the whole longer ironing board for the sheets and long things. It saves time as you can iron amuch larger surface than with s regulsr ironing board. I definitely recommend it!
