If I can’t find a red in my beauty box that isn’t Mac or my Milani mattes, this is the last one I go to.🤷🏽‍♀️For the price point it’s pretty good, but Milani has a similar price point and it’s definitely superior.Also vegan and cruelty free!I still really love this color though and I’m probably going to keep buying it just for that fact alone......Original 4 star review .... I generally like a bluer red and use MAC’s Ruby Woo as my go to red lipstick , but I actually like this red although it has more of an orange tint.This lipstick is matte, but still a bit shiny unless you blot, which I usually don’t because it can leave the lipstick patchy.If you don’t blot and you aren’t careful it can smudge, but I’m a pretty fastidious lady so I have rarely had that issue.A thing I noticed is that I feel like it looks like a bluer red closer up, but a orangier red from farther a way?I dunno, maybe it’s my imagination but I took pictures up close and farther away and I swear I see it!🤪This lipstick has a lot of moisture which is nice, it also doesn’t make my lips dry up and flake like MAC’s can do on my lips. I moisturize my lips like a red head slathers on sunscreen at the beach but no matter what I do, even use lip masks, that Ruby Woo is STILL drying!Gonna keep buying it tho🤷🏽‍♀️Gonna keep buying this color and lipstick as well, might even try different colors because I like the way it feels on my lips once it dries.I especially like that you can’t see my lip color after only one coat unlike some other matte lipsticks and stains I’ve tried.It doesn’t come off either!Like, I have to use jojoba oil to get all of it off.The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because its kind of sticky feeling before it dries, you can’t blot or rub your lips together to blend it because it will end up patchy and it’s so hard to get off that if you make a mistake, you better just take off your fancy shmansies , make yourself a cocktail and put on some comfy pj’s because you are in for the night girl.Unless you have the time and patience to take off practically the entire bottom half of your makeup and reapply, it’s literally less of a hassle to just give up and take the party to your couch for some Netflix.That said, I love the color and I’d recommend this as a nice orangey red color for the fall season for my fellow chocolate ladies, although I prefer the Milani mattes( also found on Amazon) to these. ### ⭐ Beware.
