YES, it killed the fungus gnats, almost immediately.My mistake, however, was using it as a top soil / top dresser. It looks pretty! But, after the first watering, the product turns solid, cakes together, and mold spawns. My understanding is that this mold is not harmful, but it is very unsightly, forming large white barriers around the plant. So, DO NOT USE AS TOP SOIL. Mix in with regular potting soil.THE SMELL. If you do NOT mix it in with regular soil, the smell will overwhelm your house and send guests running out the door. I was able to remove the most moldy and exposed portions by breaking up the remaining neem, and mixing it in with soil.
