However, although this was promoted as USB, only the camera is a USB device. I didn't want to have to plug cables into the sound and microphone ports on my computer - this lack was not in the product description.Although adapters that plug into a USB port and will accept the sound out and microphone in plugs are relatively inexpensive, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to go to that extra expense in order to use these headphones.This should have been clearly stated in the description.UPDATE:I had to take a trip by bus and subway today. The background noise in these modes of transportation can be very loud.Earbuds haven't been very effective at drowning out the background noises. Bluetooth headsets weren't very effective, either, and the Bluetooth ate up the phone battery. These Skype headsets were surprisingly comfortable. Their foam earpads were comfortable, and the fit was good.The cord was long - longer than I needed to go from my phone (in my pants pocket) to my headset. With volume up high, most of the sound was blocked out, and the music sounded better than I was getting with earbuds or bluetooth buds.Telephone calls were clear - although I missed the button to hang up the phone, redial, adjust volume, or answer incoming calls. Of course, these weren't really designed to be used with a cell phone. The sound was good. The sound was clear. The drain on the battery was minimal.I may use this headset for phone calls.I was concerned that it would look weird, using large headsets on a bus or train - but I saw others wearing similarly large headphones - with names like SONY printed on them.For the price, these are a very nice value. If I had many friends using Skype (and I'm trying to get some converts), and a strong WiFi signal, I'd be happy using these for Skype to Skype calls.
