When looking at the photos, it says 12/16** A: Iā€™d go with written description rather than photo. They tend to use the same images rather than uploading separate ones for every item. The 16/22 does fit the 16/22 hoses (I use mine for water changes rather than an actual inlet pipe; Iā€™d not necessarily trust it for inlet because my hose has twisted itself off once or twice) **Q: What is the max it extends to?** A: 15 inch /380-mm **Q: Would I be able to attach a hose to the external outlet to drain water ? If so what size? Thanks** A: Yes I have used a standard garden hose. **Q: Which pre filter sponge would fit it?** A: Ignore the other answer! Obviously don't know what they are chatting!
