They are well made, sturdy, all of mine were stretched tight with no give, the corners were all pulled and stapled tightly, no funny odors, and they were all gesso coated just as described. I had minimal package damage and some of the gesso was slightly rubbed off on one corner of the top canvas but none of the canvases were damaged. I have only used them with acrylic paint but they work perfect for it. I have ordered some oil paint to try next so I'll update once I try them with it.
