However I do always like to make sure our caravan is as clean as can be before we go away with it and countless times driven miles with it only to drive over a road where the cows have crossed just before the site and end up with a van which looks filthy. Brought this defender model as it looked value and with good reviews Fits our Swift Major 6 perfect and the front marker lights are visible at the bottom so haven't fitted the battery lights Fits easy after the initial fitting and can just about do it on me own but a second person makes the job much easier. Use it every time I tow the van and after several journeys this year the cover is still in good condition and never come undone whilst in transit which was one of my initial concerns. Removes in less than a min and I am really pleased with my choice of the defender. Review: Great quality and value for money - I got this front cover to protect my caravan over the winter months, rain snow frost and bright sunlight. I know you are not supposed to use whilst in “storage” but for me is excellent protecting my caravan. It is sturdy, well made and fits snuggly staying in place despite some very adverse weather. Would I use it whilst towing probably despite not having used one in 20years of towing. The wee pockets for the lights would work fine it is easy to click off the buckles either for access to locker or to check underneath. Overall I can fully recommend it and why pay more ? ## Features - PROTECTION: The cover is designed to help protect your caravan from stone chips, dirt, bugs, overhanging branches. The cover also helps protect delaminated windows whilst travelling. - MATERIAL: A 4 layered construction, beginning with a soft non staining, non marking white backing, is designed to be robust and durable without impacting nose weight. - VISIBILITY: 2 x LED battery-operated lights and 2 highly reflective strips, running from top to bottom, optimise visibility on poorly lit roads. The 7 easily adjustable, double stitched securing straps can be further extended up to 10 inches on either side to help fit far reaching awning channels if required. - PLEASE NOTE: This cover is not recommended to be left on for storage- for towing only. The wee pockets for the lights would work fine it is easy to click off the buckles either for access to locker or to check underneath. Overall I can fully recommend it and why pay more ? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value *by M***P on 8 January 2025* I bought this for my 8ft wide caravan three years ago and it fits width wise ok. My criticism of this cover is that it doesn’t fit all the way to the bottom around the A frame. Within a short period of time the securing strap that goes underneath the draw bar a frame snapped. Not the end of the world but not the best start. The other issue that I had was that the securing straps to the sides are long and if like me you do not secure them on my first journey they flap against the caravan body and leave black marks that are extremely difficult to remove. Once I had learnt this I would tie them on themselves to stop this happening. The quality of the material has been good but after three years the cover has ripped beside one of the straps as the material has degraded and lost it’s strength. This was probably my fault as I have had the cover fitted constantly for the three years even when not towing. I understand now that this should only have been fitted when towing. Conclusion is that it is of reasonable quality for the price that you pay, be careful with the straps on the caravan bodywork and it’s okay if you are on a budget. I am now going to spend the extra money and replace this with a custom made one. ## Frequently Bought Together - Caravan Defender Universal Front Towing Cover Protector Covers Accessories Dark Grey (Dark Front) - Caravan Defender Tow Hitch Cover Green Universal Towing Accessories Protector Waterproof Trailer Covers with Straps (Dark Grey- Green Trim) - Xtremeauto Caravan Feet Jack Pads - Heavy Duty Caravan Feet Pads, Prevent Sinking Into Soft Ground, Caravan Feet Pads Heavy Duty, Steady Stabiliser Pads For Caravan Legs X4 Caravan Jack Pads With Pins --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/60329058-universal-front-towing-cover-with-led-lights-window-protection-fleeced](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/60329058-universal-front-towing-cover-with-led-lights-window-protection-fleeced) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
