Natural and chemical free.Soapnut shells come from the soapnut tree (Sapindus Mukorossi), found in India and Nepal.They release a substance called saponin, which combines with water and acts as a natural soap.The use of soapnuts is very cost effective - 1kg of soapnuts can be used for more than 100 loads of laundry or dish-washing, with no need for fabric softeners or other detergent additives. It leaves the laundry soft and clean and preserves colors even in the most delicate clothes, and leaves the dishes shinning.They are 100% biodegradable and a good fertilizer.Using soapnuts for your laundry is easy, just put 6 or 8 shells (aprox. 20g, or more depending on quantity, size and dirt of your laundry and the hardness of the water), into a cotton bag and place it in your washing machine. Wash on your usual cycle. After washing, remove the bag and let it dry. Soapnuts may be reused several times. You can also boil soapnuts to make a liquid detergent for hand washing.Laundry and dishwasher: place 20g of soapnut shells in a small pouch of cotton into your washing machine load, or in the bottom of your cutlery holder. The same shells can be used up to four times.To make liquid detergent: add about 40g (handful) of soapnut shells to 1 L of water. Bring to boil, then simmer for approximately 20 minutes. You can use the liquid immediately or let it steep overnight. The liquid can be used as an all-purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, car wash, liquid soap, pet shampoo, etc.You can also use it to repel insects off your plants. The same shells can be used up to 2-3 times.Each pack includes two cotton bag.Used nuts can turn into a natural fertilizer.Origin: India
