It has a well-balanced mix (typically including loam, sand/grit and organic matter), which provides good drainage while still retaining enough nutrients. This is important as fruit trees don’t like to sit in overly wet soil.After repotting, the tree did show some initial stress (a few leaves dropped), which is normal, but after a few weeks it settled well and is now growing properly again.I also like that it doesn’t require excessive watering — it drains well and avoids the soil becoming too heavy or waterlogged.Overall, a good quality compost that supports healthy growth, especially for fruiting plants. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Doesn't beat real the flavour of real lemons but lemon pips seem to thrive in it *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 26 August 2026* Used this new 'citrus flavour in a pot (although it's actually in a plastic bag) rather than lemons in my lemon drizzle cake and it turned out very different to usual. Whilst the texture was much firmer than usual I (my wife took one look - didn't even try it and hasn't spoken to me since) struggled to even catch a taste of citrus.
