But what I appreciate most is the customer service. My package arrived from the UK without any postage having been put on the box. I had to pick them up in the United States at my post office and I had to pay postage there for a second time. They were relatively expensive there, but excellent value in that I didn't loose or sit on them. Like several other cheap ones I have bought subsequently, they were however of poor quality. Those pairs had simple round magnets glued in, which sometimes come adrift. The side length adjustment rapidly wore out meaning they were permanently on maximum length, and several hinges partly or totally failed.These Loupies glasses are in a different league for quality, yet they are still inexpensive enough to keep several pairs around the house, workplaces and in vehicles.They cannot be pulled directly apart, but need to be (easily) hinged up in the centre. They are said to be scratch resistant - though one improvement I would love to see is truly scratch resistant hard lenses, for which I would be prepared to pay a reasonable premium.
