Review: Comfortable and safe work shoes - I work as a baker in a restaurant and we need slip resistant shoes. It can be really hard to find shoes that are slip resistant and comfortable for a good price (most are usually around $75). I heard about Skechers from other coworkers being the best brand for being slip resistant and comfortable. I found this shoe. It was definitely snug the first day (as it is with every shoe you buy, gotta break them in first), but I am impressed because after wearing them all day, by the second day they fit so comfortable now. I love the slip resistance for wet, dry, oily surfaces and they are electrical hazard safe!!! And of course, the memory foam is appreciated and helps my feet not hurt and ache. They are very comfortable and easy to slip on. I bought them during winter and so far they have kept me from slipping on ice and they keep my feet dry from the snow due to their scotchgard treatment which repels water! They do have stretch laces so you cannot really adjust those to your liking, but you do not have to worry about them becoming untied. Very comfortable and I had no issues walking in them after that first day of breaking them in (which is fast, usually takes longer for new shoes to feel comfortable for me). Again, they are nice quality, love the all black look (and usually required color for restaurants), and lightweight shoes. I highly recommend.

**Q: Are the sketcher SR food service shoes really slip resistant?**
A: I've been wearing them for about 7 months now, in 2 different fast food places and I haven't slipped the first time in them. When the ones I have wear out, I'm buying another pair.

**Q: Do these have shoelaces?**
A: No they're elastic bands that stretch but you can't tie them.

**Q: What does the SR in the description stand for?**
A: I don't know the problems the other people are having, they must be working in REALLY dirty kitchens. I wear them every day in my restaurant and have never slipped. I have slid a little bit when there was ice on our sub-zero freezer floor, but that was all. I would say that if you're in a clean kitchen there's no problems at all. The SR stands for slip resistant and they work fine for me. We have fryers and the dish area, so there are slick potential areas, I haven't slipped on pepperoni or sausage either. They're very comfortable and I spend 10 to 15 hours a day in my business without foot pain. I highly recommend them!

**Q: Are the insoles removeable**
A: I have had mine for a full 7 months now. I average 30 hrs a week and need to replace because I have worn out the right big toe area. I use memory foam insoles AND arch support partials AND heel cushions as well as compression socks. Extremely satisfied if I do all that. You do need to size up and possibly go for wide if you do that though.

These shoes are very comfortable! After working on my feet for a 13 hour shift my feet did not hurt. They are slip resistant and look appealing. I love that they are an easy slip on and off shoe. I'm on feet all day and my feet never feel tired nor hurt. Worth the purchase.
