Perfect for a variety of proteins and vegetables, it offers a quick and easy way to create authentic, flavorful meals. ## Description Product description Bhuna Curry KitCook my Bhuna curry without the worry of buying a cupboard full of spices.Roasting the whole spices in the kit, you'll be able to produce a intensely flavoured dish, which is slow cooked until the meat is lovely and tender.Shopping List:400-600g of chicken, lamb, beef, fish paneer or vegetables2 onions6 garlic cloves4cm fresh ginger400g tinned plum tomatoesSaltFresh corianderMethodHeat a frying pan and add Bag 1. Keep the spices moving for a minute or two until they go a shade darker. Empty the spices into a bowl and let them cool before grinding to a fine powder in a coff ee grinder or with a pestle and mortar. Leave to one side.Heat oil and add chopped onions into a large pan.Once browned add Bag 2 with grated ginger, chopped garlic, tomatoes and salt. Cook until the tomatoes break down to create a thick paste.Add the roasted spice mix to the pan and stir well. Cook for a minute or two, taking care not to let the sauce catch on the bottom of the pan. If it does, add a splash of water and quickly stir.When the sauce is thick and dry, place your chopped main ingredient in the pan and stir to coat, then cook for 5 mins. For meat reduce the heat, put a lid on the pan and cook on a very gentle heat. Chicken will take about 25 mins, lamb 40 mins and beef 60 mins. Seafood and paneer will only take a few mins.When the main ingredient is ready, remove the lid from the pan, turn up the heat and fry to reduce the sauce until it almost disappears. The aim is to create a dry dish with concentrated sauce that clings tightly to the tender meat. For seafood and vegetable be very gentle so as not to over cook it.Finish with a sprinkle of garam masala from Bag 3 and a handful of chopped fresh coriander.
