I bought this flashlight because I remember about 30 years ago. I was deer hunting with my family. We all had flashlight. My cousin Jeff turned his on and it was utterly amazing. His flashlight was so bright and powerful and clear, the size was perfect. I knew I’d wanted one and it was the surefire E2 D defender. It was a lot of money back then and it’s still a lot of money now!! Paying well over $200 dollars is a lot for this for this 1,000 lumen 10,600 candela flashlight I compare it to my Nitecore MT2C Pro which I think was around $50 or $60 bucks and I’m sorry I can’t remember off the top of my head with the specs are on that flashlight, but it is considerably brighter and has much longer throw. I am not putting down the surefire compared to other flashlights with 1000 lumens it is super superior.
