These pens are good!
These pens write well and erase even better. I have been on the hunt for these (the ones that work) for a while and I am thankful I can say I have finally found them.

Very Happy
When I discovered Frixion, I absolutely fell in love with the technology of being able to erase completely without a mess. I take lots of notes for work and these pens work great so I can keep everything nice and neat. Writes very smoothly even at the .5mm size (some other brands can get scratchy with the extra fine) and I was glad to get a nice dark blue color that looks professional (though you shouldn't use them for legal docs that are permanent). It is less expensive to get the multicolor packs but I find a lot of those colors useless for me. These pens seem to come directly from Japan versus other sellers, but they work perfectly. Do not hesitate to buy.

Great pens
These pens work great. Very happy with the quality and shipment. Received three pens and refills with no problems.I use the pens to mark on papers and can easily erase if I make a mistake. Much easier to write and erase than the other brand. However, be aware that the ink disappears if exposed to heat. I took a paper written on with the ink about four weeks ago and held it over a warm burner on the stove. The ink disappeared. So do NOT leave your papers in the back of your car on a hot day. It would be nice if the ink could set up permanently over time. However, I still love the writing and erasing capabilities of these pens, hence the 5 star rating.

Amazingly Good Product - Erases Completely!
I love these and use them every day at work. They are good for use in a Franklin Planner because you can write in dark colored pen but can still erase. I gave some as little gifts to co-workers and they were impressed:)Ordered from Amazon rather than buying at Target to be sure I got the ones directly from Japan with Japanese writing on it - so much cooler that way

Excellent erasable pens.
Writes smoothly. The ink looks great, although the colors such as red seem a bit thin. Erases cleanly. Note HEAT erases the ink. That's how this works. The eraser creates friction which heats the ink and it disappears. If your paper gets hot, your writing will be gone. This is good in that it's easy to clear entire pages with a hair dryer. Bad if you are not aware of this and are thoughtless.NOTE - do NOT buy the multipacks. Check the math. One pack is about $11. Two is $28! It's should be $22. Just buy several single packs. Math is your friend.Note - I do NOT get freebies. If I've reviewed it, I bought it.

Awesome pens
(copy+pasted from my review of the black ink ones)I love these! I bought them specifically for college and they work awesomely. The ink isn't 100% gone when you "erase" it but it disappears well enough to not interfere with writing over the just-erased spots. They write really well and are easily refilled. I am spoiled by them and when I'm not in school using a regular non-eraseable pen kind of sucks, haha

ALMOST A 5! Great for a Teacher's Planbook & Check Register!
I'm an English teacher and found these pens after a student shared a different model (same brand) with me. I'd never used erasable pens because I've always had a problem with the poor quality of ink or the fact that they don't really erase well - just smear on the page, but these are fabulous. They erase like nothing was ever written - even better than pencil! It's like magic! The Pilot Frixion Erasable Gel Ink Pens are great for a teacher's plan book - especially with a crazy winter full of snow days like the one we've had this year. Plans are constantly changing. I used to use pencil, but pencil smears and smudges, and I found I was eating up my pencil's erasers with all the changes. I haven't been using them for long, but it SEEMS that the technology used is such that the erasers for these pens will never wear down. Thanks to these pens, it's easy to be flexible with my plans while still maintaining a plan book that is neat and easy to read.I also love these erasable pens for my check register. I am not a math person, so I frequently make silly calculation errors in my check register and end up having to correct a long line of transactions when I balance my checkbook and find the error. Again, I can't use pencil for keeping my register because it will smear terribly - especially with pulling the register in and out of my wallet constantly. I had been using pen, but it was never fun to have to use my white-out tape on the tiny spaces in my register. Now there are now worries - the ink is clear and easy to read, smudge-free, but also easy to correct without white-out.My first Frixion Erasable Gell Ink Pen was a capped pen, but I prefer the retractable pen for 2 reasons: 1. I always prefer retractable in any type of pen because they're more portable, quicker to pull out and write with, and you don't have to worry about keeping track of the cap; 2. The retractable version is of particular importance with the erasable pen because the eraser is on the end of the actual pen in both the capped and retractable versions of this pen... that means if you are using the capped version and have the cap stored on the pen while writing, you have to remove the cap in order to erase (the eraser is not on the cap, it's on the actual pen) - the retractable version eliminates that step. You're may be wondering why I only gave this product 4 stars. I wish I could've given it 4.5 or even 4.75. But, seeing as I'm a bit of a pen connoisseur and collector, I couldn't give it the full 5 stars because as far as retractable pens goes, it is a bit larger in diameter. I like to clip my pens into my spiral notebooks (or plan book) or into my wallet, and this pen is just too large around to do so.Almost perfect! If Pilot could make a slimline version of this pen, I'm not sure I'd ever buy a pencil (or another type of pen) again!
