I could not buy locally so I bought here. This product works as should. Some reviews talk about how its dull, will not cut, etc. This is ALL false information (for the most part). These people that comment like that do not know how to sharpen anything. This machete has a factory ground edge. We sharpen ours each day to the point they shave. Take about 10 minutes the first time and about 2 minutes each day after that to keep it that way. Its not a product flaw its a purchaser flaw in not knowing WHAT or HOW to do something. Mainly for themselves. Use a mill bastard file I like a 12" to sharpen it. I also prefer a handle on the file. Our back yard butts up against a 5 acre forest that is restricted from development. A little toothy as far a random nice missing from the edge. Not cutting sharp.
