What is best of all is the quality which surpasses many other cases I've tried. The sparkles combined with the gold hue of the iPhone look so much like a glass of bubbly champagne to me.This case was super easy to put on - just fit the bumper around the bezel and the hard shell snaps on quite easily and does not move around at all once it is in place. The bottom cutouts on the bumper are a bit weird and that area tends to be a bit loose, but I haven't found it to be a nuisance. As many have mentioned the cutout for the speaker area isn't right and covers one speaker hole, but I haven't really noticed a reduction in sound volume or quality because of it; I mostly use headphones anyway when listening to anything on my phone so this is something I can easily overlook in light of all the other great features of this case.Feel: It feels like smooth plastic. There are no seams around the bezel area that stick out and feel uncomfortable in the hands. The bezel area feels smooth and rounded. The bumper material does not have a rubbery feel. It, too, is smooth. My favorite aspect is how clicky the buttons are. The volume and power button are covered and the metallic color matches the gold iPhone well. The silent switch is open and easy to access.Function: I haven't dropped my phone yet, but the corner and edges seem very well protected to me. I don't see the plastic on this case shattering unless the phone sustains a really intense fall as it seems pretty sturdy and well made.Appearance: definitely one of the best looking cases I have come across. For someone who doesn't like the sparkles I would recommend getting the clear version of this case. But I think the sparkles add a lot to the gold iPhone and in contrast to clear cases, they hide any specks of dust that may get caught between the phone and the case (that's what irks me most when I use clear cases). While the buttons look more gold than silver to me, the gold is very subtle and not at all yellow so I think both the buttons and the sparkles would look silver if used with a silver iPhone. However I don't think this would match that well on the space grey iPhone; on that one I think the gold buttons might look more gold. I also enjoy the fact that Case-mate's branding on the case is extremely subtle and doesn't draw any attention whatsoever.Also, the case is as slim as it can be for the level of protection it offers. It doesn't feel clunky to me and definitely makes the super slippery iPhone feel a lot more substantial in my hands.I couldn't find too many real photos of this case when I was looking into it, so I decided to upload a few close-ups to give a better idea of how it will look in person. :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost perfect *by D***A on Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2015* I have only been using this for less than a week but so far so good. The entire case is smooth with no grip as mentioned by other reviewers. There is a plastic bumper which fits snugly around the phone with it's own gold buttons for the volume buttons. The cut outs on the bottom of the case however are both good and bad. The plastic bumper that wraps around the bottom is exposed without the outer shell to go over it. That being the case, when I hold my phone the plastic bumper portion on the bottom feels uncomfortable to the grip. It also does not lie entirely flush around the bottom edge of the phone. However, this feature was unexpectedly helpful today while I was at the store and took my phone out. It started to slip out of my hand and I was able to grab the bottom portion of the plastic bumper which saved it from a fall. Since I haven't had this case for long that is the extent of my experience so far. As for looks, the case is lovely with a subtle shimmer and seems to protect the back of the phone well with a decent lip to also protect the front of the phone. This is no Otterbox but it seems to straddle the line between aesthetics and protection decently to date.UPDATEThis case is almost perfect. While it is pretty to look at, it is hard for me to overcome some of its design flaws. The main issue is that the bottom of the bumper does not fit flush at the bottom of the phone which makes it uncomfortable to hold for longer periods of time. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, it does cover a speaker hole. While this does not appear to take away from the function of the phone, it is annoying in that the cutouts are not precise. Also, there is no grip to the phone and it is quite slippery. Some rubberized cushioning or grip at the sides would have been nice.The upshot is that I dropped the phone from about 3 feet face down on a tile surface and the case and phone weathered the drop well. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Protects for a long time, gets ugly VERY quickly *by A***A on Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2017* I've always hated having to use a case for my iPhone 6, because the phone looks so amazing without a case, so after I shattered two iPhone 6's within a span of 2 months, I decided to get a case, and I was in the market for one that was as thin and unnoticeable as possible, but would still protect my case. I'd say that this Case-Mate case is definitely the best compromise I've come across. I drop my phone all the time and I've never broken it again (but I also use a tempered glass screen protector - which HAS shattered once before, so it's definitely still possible to shatter your phone screen if you use this case without a screen protector). My only complaints are: 1) the case discolors extremely quickly - it's gorgeous when you first put it on, but within a week it's getting yellow/cream colored and ugly - thankfully the cases are relatively cheap on Amazon compared to the retail prices in stores like Target or Best Buy... and 2) the aux port is a tight fit with the case - Apple headphones will work fine, but an aux cable with a wider grip around the jack may prove to be too big to plug in without removing the case...this was a huge pain for me when trying to connect to my car stereo via aux cable... and 3) the case itself is pretty difficult to remove... the hard shell really holds the phone tight and the last time I tried to remove the case, I actually snapped the plastic piece in half and had to order a new one. Overall, it's an okay case, especially for the discounted prices found on Amazon. I've been using this case for about 2 years, and have replaced it about 3-4 times over those two years (once due to the case snapping, three times due to discoloration). If you want it to look clear all the time, you'll have to replace it way too often for it to be worth it (biweekly).
