When I first began reading the book, it seemed to much like a textbook and less like a practical resource. It was the textbook for a course I was taking, so I kept reading the assigned portions. Once I got into the book, I found it to be a very practical resource that is heavily research based. My favorite part were the case studies in the back. They were all linked directly to the learning in the book, and helped me visualize the theory in practice. The other thing I really appreciated about this book, was that the authors were mindful of the current educational climate & the diverse roles that instructional coaches play in schools.
