**Q: Will this game play on a Nintendo 2DS.**
A: Of course the 2ds plays 3ds games

**Q: I have Nintendo 3DS XL handheld player. Will this New Super Mario Bros 2  play with this console? Thanks. Edit | Delete**
A: i'm not an expert in DS's but I'm in Australia and it wasn't compatible with my son's 3DS XL. Only works for USA consoles.

**Q: Is it 3D games ???**
A: It is a 2D platformer, but you can slide your 3D up on the 3DS and get added depth in your backgrounds.

**Q: can this game be played on a regular ds? 
and if so, is it the same as if it were in a 3ds?
also, how different is it from reg mario bros on a ds?**
A: I am no expert with ds'... But I have been told that 3ds games only work on 3ds consoles. But 2ds games work on  a 3ds but only in 2D.  My son said Mario 2 is much better than the other. Don't know why!?

Was ordered for my son's birthday. Delivered in time but on his birthday discovered that it didn't work at all. 1 very disappointed boy. I returned it and did get a refund.
