## Description

When we designed this Shaker-style cabinet, we set out to create a compact, yet attractive, piece of furniture with features and storage galore. We included in the cabinet a quality mechanical lift with which you can raise your sewing machine to two working positions, or lower it for easy out-of-sight storage. Drawer storage abounds, and the hinged cabinet top flips out in two directions, effectively doubling the work surface. Measurements below are for when the cabinet is closed. View the Larger Image Slideshow for pictures of the paper plan. Finished Dimensions Height: 27 inches (67.5 cm) Width: 48 inches (120 cm) Depth: 18 inches (45 cm) Wood and Supplies needed: We used cherry, cherry and birch plywood, and hardboard, but you can use a wood of your choice. A full materials and supplies list is included with the plan. Tools needed: Tablesaw, drill, clamps, router, bandsaw, table mounted router, and other common workshop tools.

**Q: Can you reverse the sides with the fold out on the left and the drop leaf on the right?**
A: If you are an experienced woodworker, anything is possible. However what you are suggesting is not something that is provided as an option in this woodworking plan.

**Q: Will this cabinet work for a babylock destiny ii embroidery machine?**
A: it will fit machines 21" wide by 12" deep. Be sure to include any electical plug ins or other attachments that will stay on when moving machine to storage position

**Q: can an Epic Emboidery Machine work on this?**
A: I have a viking embroidery and its fine.

**Q: Where did you buy the lift mechanism?**
A: I've never bought the lift mechanism. The designer of the plan does provide a shop list on the plan. Rockler would be a good place to start.
