## Description

This set, "Shaolin #6: Close Strike" is the first set taught in the Northern Shaolin Style. The book is an introduction to the Northern Shaolin Style and provides basic information for the beginner. The set is clearly delineated and is an excellent reference for anyone with serious interest in the Northern Shaolin Style. One can actually learn the set with this detailed "how-to" manual. Shaolin enthusiasts should enjoy this book which has calligraphy, insights and forewords from different masters. The book is dedicated to Grandmaster Wong Jack Man. Sifu Wong Jack Man brought the Northern Shaolin Style to the Bay Area and many martial artists can trace their lineage to him.

Review: Empfehlung! - Sehr gutes Buch über das Original Nord Shaolin Kung Fu! Der Autor ist direkter Schüler der lebenden Legende Wong Jack Man
Review: A rare gem - At first glance a detailed reference manual for Bak Sil Lum (Northern Shaolin) #6… a valuable reference for anyone interested in Northern Shaolin in which one can find the names (in both English and Chinese characters), detailed descriptions, many pictures, and a large section on applications of movements in the form. But this book is much more than a reference manual….upon closer inspection one finds many gems “hidden” within its pages…. including calligraphy by Sifu Paul Eng and Sifu Lung Kai Ming, "Sage Words Concerning Northern Shaolin Style” by Lung Tze Cheung (a close disciple of Gu Ruzhang), and many stories and historical notes by numerous well-known martial artists... concerning Northern Shaolin style kung Fu, the author, Sifu Rick Wing, and his teacher, Grandmaster Wong Jack Man…. to whom this book is dedicated to. Thank-you Sifu Rick Wing for all of your hard work and efforts in bringing to the kung-fu community this great treasure.
