It has one setting and it does come with a glove to protect your hands from the heat which is nice. I have pretty thick hair and wanted something to give my hair a blow out look. I have tried this type of product with a round brush and hair dryer built in but it would take way too long to dry my hair but this one you use only on dry hair making it super quick to style. While my hair is too heavy to hold full curls from this it does look like after I get my hair blown out with a round brush at the salon after only about 15 minutes of styling. I would recommend this hair tool!

I had low expectations for this product as the price seemed too good to be true but was very impressed. This tool does get very hot! Use with caution! But, it's like my Calista heated brush, which just died on me, so, I love that! I can't do my hair without a tool like this because it adds shine and bouncy waves! I got the big barrel & it may not necessarily curl my hair, but adds beautiful smoothness & bounce to my long hair. I'm 66, and do not like me with short hair. This fits the bill allowing my hair to look its best! Again, it gets VERY VERY HOT so, you don't need to hold your hair in it. If you want curls, maybe get a smaller barrel. For less than half the price, it's well worth it. My Calista tool heated brushes never last more than a couple yrs anyway. Time will tell!
