Review: It works... - I think its a pretty good indoor mini basketball hoop. I will address some reviews I read; rim moves too much, getting it to fit over the door, air pump, mini basketball weight, cheapness. First of all, the rim does move but no where near as significant as others are stating, it's an indoor slap it on the top hoop not a professionally installed indoor rim mounted to your walls. Two, this set-up fits on top of commonly used inside doors, you can't be angry because it doesn't fit your oversized door but it is a good thing to mention. Also, I didn't know that the mini basketball actually took real air. I thought it was cool instead of being some cheap foam basketball. So yes, you need an air pump but most people who have kids in sports probably already have one, if you're nickel & diming this maybe you shouldn't have purchased it. The Mini basketball weight is actually very important, it's heavy. I don't believe it's suitable for many indoor places where you might have paintings on walls, coffee tables w/glass, or vases. I bought a $5 cotton filled 2-3 inches in diameter Chicago bulls mini basketball (from Chicago for 99% of my life just moved out finally). Lastly, cheapness, how much did this cost you? Some people are acting as if this costed $100 w/a lifetime guarantee from China. It's good for what it is, end of story. This review might be jerky but some comments I read were ridiculous on the complaints department.
Review: Best on the Market - We have owned 4 different over-the-door backboards and this one is, by far, the BEST. It is sturdy, well made, and the one they have played with the most and longest. I would have docked it a star due to the way it clips on the door, as it only fit on the inside and not the outside due to moldings, but since that could just be our house, and since we are still able to use it and really enjoy it, it did not feel right to take away. I attached a picture to show you, ultimately, where it ended up. It started out in my son's room but has been relocated to our *front door* due to the space and the high ceiling. At first, my husband was against this--it does not really fit the decor and there is glass on the door--but since the ball is not hard and since the placement makes it ideal for several people to play, he has not only relented but taken to playing with the kids as well as slam dunking.

We have owned 4 different over-the-door backboards and this one is, by far, the BEST. It is sturdy, well made, and the one they have played with the most and longest. Well made backboard and hoop to hang on the door. Definitely worth the money. Easy to put together, just 3 nuts and bolts (10mm). It is loud as others have stated. The bolts will mark the door if you don't add some kind of foam insulation which will also help with the noise. The rim is steel, with a spring that'll give a little but no hanging on it. The backboard will break before the rim that's for sure. Then you can just mount the rim somewhere else. Comes with a good net & ball (have a pump handy to inflat the ball). Grandkid is going to love it! Don't hesitate to buy.
