Fast-pace thriller and slow-burn romance in one book.
When Hollywood’s latest star, Danielle Stevens selects Detective Harper Jeremiah as the person she will shadow in preparation for her next film, she fails to mention that she is being stalked…Lots of reasons to add this to your reading list:▪ Gerri Hill always portrays angsty law enforcement officers really well and Jeremiah is up there with the best of them.▪ This is a page-turner. It’s easy reading and the story flows seamlessly from one scene to the next.▪ Interesting characters and a great villain of the piece - if you suffer from coulrophobia you might want to check the doors and windows are locked before reading.▪ Plenty of twists-and-turns throughout make this a highly entertaining read.▪ Locations aplenty. Never static, this plot has the characters constantly on the move, and there are unpleasant surprises lying in wait at most of them.▪ Super change in perspective as the plot unfolds and the complex natures of the lead characters adds substance and an extra dimension to the story.▪ Nice contrast between the hectic pace of the ‘thriller’ element of this story and the slow-burn romance that develops between the main characters.▪ An early reference to Tori Hunter sets the standard for this book, and while it’s not quite as compelling as ‘Hunter’s Way’ (published 2005), it doesn’t fall too far short.▪ I don’t want to add any spoilers, but the ending does leave open the possibility for a tie-in book featuring Jeremiah and Hunter…now that’s got to be worth contemplating!

Another page turner or finger swipe!
This book appeared on my ereader just after midnight on the day of re!ease I had forgot I had ordered it. I was tempted to start to read it but decided not this turned out to be a wise decision because when I did start I really struggled to put it down. I am biased this author's writing. This was does well to deliver with a good thriller/crime story alongside the development of the relationship between the two very likeable female characters. All I can say is just read it.

Not a 'knock it out of the park' Gerri Hill classic...
...but nice enough all the same as 'doesn't wannabe' actress Dani ends up needing the protection of cop Harper. You know what's going to happen between these two likeable ladies and the thriller element isn't particularly thrilling, but it's as readable as ever. Not one I'll be returning to again and again, but as I've said, nice enough for now...

Great story.
I love the way Gerri tells a story, i feel as though I know the places they are set. I have read most of Ms Hills books and enjoyed them all, this was full of angst and exciting to the end, well worth a read.

Great
Gerri Hill never lets you down. The title of the book was a bit of a spoiler I thought, I think I’d rather not have had that but it doesn’t stop this being another classic.
