Our scientists have been working with spirulina for over a decade. This is a premium culture that is very well taken care of. It is robust and will perform in your laboratory or backyard. Review: Healthy, clean strains! - Excellent kit for teaching about the diversity of microalgae (all different shapes, sizes, and colors). Strains arrived healthy and ready to grow. Note: this kit does not come with media and the algae in the kit require different media. If you intend to culture the algae, I would highly recommend ordering the individual kits that come with the specific medium required by the alga of interest. The Arthrospira culture in particular has been nearly "bulletproof", thriving in a number of different media (but it is sensitive to the cold). Review: Very Excellent! - Very excellent selection.
