Yet it is firmer than my previous one so I believe it will last at least twice as long. It remained in place far better than my former eyeliner (also a well respected brand whose products I have been using for at least two decades). It smudged nicely - I like a soft, smoky look but not panda style. I apply my eyeliner to my inner lid rim and gently rub my eyes together to smudge and blend, tidying it up with a damp cotton bud. It leaves a defined line, outlining my eyes clearly , with a soft but tidy edge. It mostly stayed in place all day, perhaps a little fainter by the evening. I do touch and rub my eyes quite a lot and day to day, I only wear eyeliner and light dusting of translucent powder - after applying eyeliner - and I don't tend to reapply for the rest of the day.
