The Tempest is a popular text for study by secondary students the world over. Key features: 1. Accessible notes and commentataries 2. Two-column format for easy reference checking and immediate explanations 3. Wide margins to provide plenty of space for annotations and note taking 4. Additional information and reading lists (including websites) 5. Illustrations dotted throughout, both contextual and explanatory Suitable for: - Students aged 11+ - All exam boards The Oxford School Shakespeare range includes over 20 of Shakespeare's plays, plus revision resources for Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet . Review: Excellent aid for students to get the most out of this play - There is much to recommend this: (i) the typography and overall layout makes the text supremely accessible; (ii) the use of illustrations and photographs enhances rather than detracts from the text; (iii) there are a wealth of additional resources within the publication; (iv) it easily sits within a student's backpack; (v) it is very affordable. The pointers on how to approach essays and/or exam questions concerning this play stand the test of time. The notes for teachers are equally useful for the student. The inclusion of the musical score for songs within the play is, for me, the only issue with this publication, as it fails to add significantly to understanding. Review: Great for school - I bought this edition of the Tempest for my English GCSEs, and so far I have found it very helpful to my studies. The edition contains the complete text of the play and thorough notes on the language alongside the text- an absolute must if you want to have a good understanding of the play as a young student. You can refer to the list of main characters to erase any confusion, and there are thorough introductions to each scene at the beginning, perfect for gaining an overview of every part of the play. If you're studying The Tempest, this edition is great for you as the notes and summary will be of enormous help to gaining a deep and comprehensive understanding of the play. ## Features - Oxford University Press, USA ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | 9,343 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) 16 in Drama for Young Adults 16 in Theatre Performance for Young Adults 85 in English Language Study for Young Adults | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 755 Reviews | ## Images ![The Tempest - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/818RKqKaZkL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent aid for students to get the most out of this play *by S***N on 13 October 2023* There is much to recommend this: (i) the typography and overall layout makes the text supremely accessible; (ii) the use of illustrations and photographs enhances rather than detracts from the text; (iii) there are a wealth of additional resources within the publication; (iv) it easily sits within a student's backpack; (v) it is very affordable.
