I have not tested them when it's windy so not sure how they'd do with windy conditions but they seem to have a good amount of weight for the height. Others mentioned a smell. They do have a rubber smell but I noticed most of the smell was from the box they come in as well as the base. After being left out in the open, the smell does fade and not as strong.
