The shoulder pad is quite wide, which is a good thing as it distributes the weight more evenly, and it feels quite comfortable to wear. It's comfortable to wear across the body for a female photographer (important feature!). We particularly love the metal components, especially the plate that attaches to the camera as it has a nice knob to screw on and loosen up, much better than its coin-reliant alternatives. There were no instructions, which surprised me, but at a careful view the assembly is quite obvious. Positive note: the clips are well done and made to avoid accidental releases with a special two-hand system.The quality of the materials, especially the belt, is significantly higher than that of many competitors in its price range. The shoulder strap is thick and soft, absolutely comfortable, but I would have preferred to find a pocket to store a cloth to clean the lens or spare batteries.Once adjusted for good it remains firm to the body and allows the camera to easily slide along the space that we decide, at the same time there is a belt clip to allow us to lock the strap to our pants to prevent the machine from oscillating and the risk bumping while climbing a wall or other.The lower screw plate offers the opportunity to attach a tripod or other without having to remove it, which saves a lot of time.During a day of shooting with my D610 equipped with nikon 24-70, battery grip and flash (over 3 kilos total) I had no problem handling the camera and not even any pain in the shoulder or neck.
